Scoop Killah, born as Edric Salone was raised on the South side of Lexington, KY where he experienced an eclectic lifestyle filled with a variety of musical influences. Scoop started playing instruments and singing at a young age, learning the violin and soon picking up the snare drum, clarinet, and other woodwind instruments. With a knack for musical talent and an ear for soulful sounds, Scoop began writing his first rhymes as early as 12 years old going on to create his unique style. Scoop moved to Louisville, KY in 2003 to pursue dreams of higher education and has lived in the city since. Life altering events and traumatic experiences have influenced Scoop Killah forcing him to craft a soulful, edgy sound, with a laid back, beach cruiser, eardrum encapsulating flow. With a heavy influence on rhythmic cadences and an infusion of robust vocabulary, listeners should prepare themselves for a trippy ride down memory lane. Scoop's musical influences include artists that come from various musical backgrounds ranging from classical composition and operatic vocalists, to jazz bands, blues players, disco kings and alternative rock groups.
